Welcome to “the children's” ashram, a web-site dedicated to the joyful nurturing of the divinity of all children everywhere, regardless of spiritual orientation. This is a web-site for parents to share insights, ideas and spiritual teachings. It is non-denominational, and open to people of all spiritual paths.

The spiritual life of a child is equally important, if not more so than that of the parents. The divine light present in everybody at birth should not be allowed to dim! Parental example through spiritual practices, purity of thought, word and deed, a longing to know God is palpable to a child. A child knows if his/her parents are genuine in these areas of their lives.

To be “real” in our lives, we need to be real for our children. We are not just our body and mind – we are spirit too, and so are they.

For parents who are already on a spiritual path, it doesn't always follow that their children are involved too. This is where so many children are denied the opportunity to come to God whilst young. Some people may say “the child should make his or her own mind up”, or “there's time for that when they are older”. This is denying food for the spirit of the child, just as you would deny food for the physical body.

But, there are so many paths to God, and the most beautiful thing about this difficult Kali Yuga age in which we live, is that it is actually easier to reach God, to become enlightened, or self-realised human beings. It is also a beautiful thing that this world is graced by the presence of many self-realised spiritual masters.

Every adult AND EVERY CHILD should have the opportunity to be in the company of these souls as often as possible, or at least to be in Satsang – i.e. in the company of others longing to know God.
