In Tenerife

Debra and Paul also have a fruit orchard on the subtropical island of Tenerife, which they love to visit. This cared for land produces oranges, avocadoes, mulberries, lemons, figs, papayas and bananas. We are planning to provide accommodation nearby to facilitate winter family camps and spiritual retreats.

In London

We are offering children the opportunity to join our Saturday nature group, based from our home  and also going on trips to give nature –orientated self sufficiency and farming experiences for young children. 

• Seed  planting in garden room, tending and propagating for a small greenhouse 
• Working with permaculture principles for a small town house and garden understandable for young children aged 5 to 10 years.
• Sprouting seeds and beans, growing indoor greens, juicing fruits and vegetables.
• Observing nature in the garden and pond life, tree identification
• Observation of plants, painting and drawing, ecological craft projects.
• Recycling and the meaning of organic and biodynamic agriculture. Composting

In Ireland

Debra and Paul have kept goats, cats, ducks, pigs, ponies, sheep, bees, grown vegetables, vines, fruits, and herbs, some in polytunnels. They worked with families who came to stay all year round to share skills, a passion for nature, for working towards self sufficiency and for connecting with the spirit in all life. Meadowsweet farm in Ireland is being further developed to provide facilities for family summer camps starting in July 2007. It is farmed organically and bio dynamically with vegetarian principles.

Summer Camp in Ireland 2007 -  activities for families suitable for all ages of children

• Sharing and caring, meditating and chanting, singing, drumming and dancing
• Sprouting, seeds and picking fruit, making jam and juice
• Harvesting vegetables and salads from polytunnels
• Watching sheep shearing and washing fleeces, learning the basics of carding and spinning wool
• Tending grape vines and hopefully tasting the harvest of grapes before camp ends
• Basic pony care and riding
• Learning to milk goats, their care and making paneer and yogurt
• Universal peace dance for parents and children
• Children's music workshops
• Learning gardening skills, planting vegetables
• Herbal workshop for parents and children

Meadowsweet Farm

This farm is set in the rolling hills of East Clare, 8 acres of fields, streams, ponds, regenerating hedgerows, young woodland areas, riding area, 4 polytunnels, stables, large orchards and fruit areas.
